MISSION

PestVets is committed to engaging Veterans in their successful transition to a productive and rewarding career in the pest management industry.

 

HISTORY

In 2014, members of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) approached NPMA leadership regarding the creation of a Veteran's Group in which returning veterans are provided resources about the opportunities available to them in the pest management industry.

INITIATIVES

Recruitment Resources:
PestVets has compiled a number of resources for pest management  professionals to use to promote job opportunities to returning veterans.

PestVets Veteran of the Year Award:
The PestVets Veteran of the Year award was created to honor a veteran who has helped strengthen the role of pest management. They are  recognized for their outstanding contributions to the industry and to the communities they serve.

PestVets Mentorship Program:
This program aims to assist Veterans transitioning to the industry or Veterans already in the industry by providing them with an established industry Veteran connection. Additionally, it is a priority for PestVets to tackle Veterans issues such as PTSD.

PestVets Gives Back:
PestVets gives back to the U.S. Military and Veteran  community every year at the PestWorld Day of Service and Legislative Day Operation Gratitude.
